The Role

As the Head of Product at Cybertill, you will lead and oversee the creation, enhancement, and delivery of our software products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and innovation. You will be responsible for leading a dynamic team of product managers, developers, and designers, driving the development of innovative retail technology solutions that enable our clients to excel in the modern retail landscape.

What you will do…

  • Lead and manage the product development team, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Define and execute the product development strategy in alignment with the company’s overall goals and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support, to gather insights, prioritise features, and ensure seamless product launches and updates.
  • Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely delivery and effective resource allocation.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing offerings.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points, translating them into clear product requirements and features.
  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces that enhance user experience.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of products, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
  • Manage the product roadmap, balancing short-term goals with long-term vision, and adapting to changing market dynamics.
  • Ensure that the product development process follows best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the technical leadership team to make informed decisions about technology stack, architecture, and scalability.
  • Build and nurture relationships with third-party vendors, partners, and technology providers to enhance product capabilities and integrations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in retail software to drive innovation within the organisation.
  • Present product development updates, plans, and performance to the executive team and stakeholders.

Your Qualifications…

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product development, with 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Ideally Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field

The role of the Head of Product is a senior management position within the organisation working closely with the other 3 Heads of Department.

Although Head Officed in Liverpool we care about how the job is done, not necessarily where it is done! We are happy to explore all flexible and remote working practices that suit us both, but we still enjoy seeing our customers face to face from time to time so travel both in the UK and overseas maybe required.
